Suspected Fulani Herdsmen Hack Pastor to Death in Nasarawa State
Locals say there was a disagreement over land ownership between the pastor and a Muslim farm owner.

According to World Watch Monitor, an online news site, the minister, Reverend Joseph Kurah, who is the shepherd in charge at the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECA), was killed on Thursday, June 30. Reports say three other people followed him to his farm at about 7pm to cut down trees for roofing wood on the fateful day, but two men suddenly appeared behind them.

According to some members of the pastor’s church, there had been an argument with a Muslim farmer overownership of the farm and fingers are now being pointed in the direction of the said farmer. “They attacked him on his farm, cut off his arms and legs; then they chopped his head with a machete.
I received a call on Thursday evening that my uncle, a pastor with ECWA was killed by Fulani herdsmen,” a unnamed man who claimed to be the nephew of the deceased, stated.
